PIKSPOT! Community Guidelines

Rules for community interactions, reports, image uploads and moderation on PIKSPOT!.

Last updated: 2026-08-31

PIKSPOT! is a tool and community space designed for Pikmin Bloom players. We want to maintain a useful, clear, friendly, and safe environment.

These Community Guidelines explain what participation PIKSPOT! welcomes, which conduct and content are prohibited, and how we may respond when problems occur.

These guidelines form part of your use of PIKSPOT! and should be read together with the Terms of Service. If you violate these guidelines, we may take reasonable moderation or enforcement measures.

Article 1 — Core principles

When using PIKSPOT!, participate in ways consistent with these principles:

  • Respect others;
  • Be honest about information and contributions;
  • Be helpful to the community;
  • Value privacy and safety; and
  • Do not undermine the platform's intended purpose and order.

We particularly value participation that improves clarity, usefulness, trustworthiness, and community quality.

Article 2 — Content and participation we welcome

We welcome content and interactions such as:

  1. Good-faith discussions related to Pikmin Bloom or PIKSPOT! features;
  2. Honest, helpful submissions, reports, collection organization, and information shared by players;
  3. Corrections, additions, and explanations that improve content quality;
  4. Respectful interactions with other users; and
  5. Feedback, bug reports, and suggestions that help improve the Service or community.

Article 3 — Prohibited conduct and content

The following conduct and content are not allowed.

A. Harassment, abuse, and hateful content

You must not:

  • Attack, insult, humiliate, threaten, or intimidate other users;
  • Persistently target, harass, pressure, or provoke someone;
  • Post content that is hateful, discriminatory, or degrading toward individuals or groups; or
  • Incite hostility, pile-ons, or a harmful community atmosphere.

B. Impersonation, fraud, and deception

You must not:

  • Impersonate another person, rights holder, official source, administrator, or partner;
  • Misrepresent your identity, relationships, or authority;
  • Knowingly submit false or misleading information; or
  • Use the platform for scams, phishing, deception, or inducing others to share information or take action.

C. Privacy violations and misuse of personal data

You must not:

  • Publish or disclose another person's private or personal information without a lawful basis;
  • Share private messages, contact information, location records, or identifiable personal data in ways that violate others' privacy; or
  • Engage in doxxing, stalking, social engineering, or other attempts to trace or expose someone's identity.

D. Image uploads and screenshot content

If you use image upload features, upload only images suitable for use within PIKSPOT! features.

You must not upload, post, or share images containing:

  • Real names, home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, account credentials, identification documents, tickets, receipts, or other personally identifying data;
  • Private conversations, private social pages, private notifications, private documents, or content disclosed without consent;
  • Photographs of identifiable people's faces, especially children and young people;
  • License plates, home address signs, workplaces, schools, precise residential locations, or other information that may link to a real-world identity or location;
  • Other people's unauthorized works, photographs, screenshots, trademarks, likenesses, or other protected content; or
  • Content that may create risks of stalking, harassment, doxxing, fraud, real-world contact, or other safety risks.

Even if the system asks you to confirm before uploading that an image contains no information linked to real-world identity, you remain responsible for checking that its content is safe, appropriate, and does not infringe others' rights.

E. Infringing content

You must not:

  • Upload, post, or share content that infringes copyright, trademarks, likeness rights, privacy rights, or other rights;
  • Copy, repost, or misuse others' work without authorization where authorization is required; or
  • Repeatedly submit content you know, or reasonably should know, is infringing or unauthorized.

F. Spam, manipulation, and platform abuse

You must not:

  • Flood the platform or repeatedly post low-value or repetitive content;
  • Use the platform for phishing, malicious promotion, unrelated commercial spam, or deceptive traffic referrals;
  • Artificially manipulate reports, rankings, interactions, visibility, or other trust indicators; or
  • Use bots, scripts, crawlers, or automated systems to abuse platform functions unless the platform expressly allows it.

G. Dangerous, unlawful, or harmful content

You must not:

  • Promote unlawful, violent, or dangerous conduct;
  • Share content that may put others' real-world safety at risk;
  • Encourage others to enter dangerous, restricted, private, or inappropriate locations; or
  • Use the platform in ways reasonably foreseeable to expose others to physical, legal, or privacy risks.

Article 4 — Expectations for specific PIKSPOT! features

Because PIKSPOT! includes community tools involving player information, submissions, and interactions, the following expectations apply in particular.

A. Locations, single-category spots, and reports

When submitting single-category spots, location information, category information, or related reports:

  • Base information on honest observations or reasonable judgment where possible;
  • Do not intentionally submit false, misleading, or fabricated data;
  • Do not use submissions to troll, disrupt, or confuse other users;
  • Do not post information that may lead others into dangerous, restricted, closed, private, or otherwise inappropriate locations; and
  • Do not present uncertain, time-sensitive, subjective, or context-dependent information as guaranteed fact.

If existing information is incorrect or disputed, use reporting, correction, or addition tools in good faith rather than attacking the original contributor.

B. Invitations, recruitment, and user interactions

When using invitations, recruitment, responses, or other interaction features:

  • Do not falsely claim available slots, confirmed actions, or player statuses that do not exist;
  • Do not use the platform to harass, manipulate, scam, or pressure other users;
  • Do not abuse applications, invitations, comments, or other interaction features to cause unnecessary disruption; and
  • Maintain basic courtesy even when misunderstandings, delays, or disagreements occur.

C. Profiles, names, and account information

You must not use profile fields, usernames, display names, biographies, or other account information areas to:

  • Post abusive, unlawful, or infringing content;
  • Impersonate others or present yourself as an official source;
  • Conduct scams, unrelated promotion, or deceptive off-site referrals; or
  • Place content clearly contrary to the Service's community purpose.

Article 5 — Content quality and trustworthiness

One of PIKSPOT!'s goals is to maintain useful content. Even where content is not necessarily unlawful, we may moderate it if it is misleading, low-quality, or repeatedly detracts from the platform's usefulness.

We may take measures concerning content such as:

  • Clearly incorrect information left uncorrected for a prolonged period;
  • Materially misleading content or content missing important context;
  • Deliberately vague content that causes confusion;
  • Repeated low-value, disruptive content or content harmful to the platform's usefulness; and
  • Images or content that may expose real-world identity, private locations, private contact details, or other privacy risks.

Not every mistake leads to enforcement. Good-faith errors differ from malicious abuse. We encourage users to proactively correct, update, and improve content where possible.

Article 6 — Advertising, promotion, and commercial content

PIKSPOT! may display advertising, sponsored content, affiliate links, or other promotional content in the future to help cover website operating costs. Whether third-party advertising is actually enabled is controlled by site-wide switches, page eligibility, user eligibility, and applicable consent mechanisms. Users must not use the Service to post unrelated commercial promotions, spam advertising, fraudulent links, phishing content, or promotions likely to mislead other users.

Third-party ads displayed by PIKSPOT! do not mean that PIKSPOT! approves, guarantees, or recommends those third-party products, services, websites, or content. They also do not imply partnership, sponsorship, authorization, approval, or endorsement of PIKSPOT!, advertisers, or advertising content by Nintendo, Scopely, Scopely Explore (formerly the Niantic games team), or any related rights holder.

Article 7 — Reporting and moderation

  1. If you find content or conduct that may violate these guidelines, infringe rights, endanger others, or disrupt community order, you can report it using the platform's tools or contact methods.
  2. We may review factors including the severity of a violation, sufficiency of evidence, safety risks, repeated conduct, and the Service's needs.
  3. Measures we may take include:
    • Warning users;
    • Requesting explanations, additional information, or corrections;
    • Limiting visibility;
    • Flagging, hiding, or removing content;
    • Restricting specific features;
    • Suspending or terminating accounts; or
    • Taking technical measures to prevent repeated abuse.
  4. We are not obliged to review every report, respond individually to every appeal, or explain every moderation decision in detail.
  5. For serious or repeated violations, or where immediate action is reasonably necessary, we may take measures without prior notice.

Article 8 — Repeated violations and evading enforcement

Users who repeatedly violate these guidelines may face stricter restrictions.

You must not evade moderation measures by:

  • Creating alternative accounts;
  • Borrowing or using other people's accounts;
  • Changing devices, identities, or using other means to avoid restrictions; or
  • Directing others to post content or act on your behalf to avoid moderation.

If we reasonably determine that evasion is occurring, we may take broader measures.

Article 9 — Our role and discretion

PIKSPOT! is a privately operated service. We reserve the right to reasonably interpret and apply these Community Guidelines according to these goals:

  • User safety;
  • Community quality;
  • Platform integrity;
  • Legal compliance; and
  • The Service's intended purpose.

This does not mean that we proactively review every item of content. Our failure to act on particular content does not indicate approval of that content or conduct.

Article 10 — Relationship with the Terms of Service

These Community Guidelines supplement the Terms of Service. If content or conduct also violates the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, or other applicable policies, we may also take measures under those policies.

Article 11 — Changes to these guidelines

We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time to reflect changes in the Service, community needs, moderation experience, and legal or operational requirements.

The updated version will be published on the Service with a revised “Last updated” date. For material changes, we may provide additional notice where appropriate or required by applicable law.
